The 4 Holy Habits of a Faithful Christian Disciple
"My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me..."
- Jesus to His Disciples
Reclaim Sunday - Faithful/growing Christian disciples make worshiping God at Sunday Mass their highest priority every week; they also try to spend time on Sundays enjoying the company of family and friends whenever possible.
Daily Prayer - Faithful/growing Christian disciples make time (at least 15 minutes) for prayer with God every day, knowing that apart from Him they "can do nothing" (John 15:5).
Regular Mortification - Faithful/growing Christian disciples look for small ways to voluntarily deny themselves of good things (especially on Fridays, the day of Jesus' death on the holy cross) so as to grow in their capacity to generously love God and others.
Frequent Confession - Faithful/growing Christian disciples humbly and regularly (once per month is the suggestion) acknowledge their sins and failures in the Sacrament of Confession. They do this in order to receive the healing mercy of Christ and with the full conviction that He wants to make our hearts ever more like His own Sacred Heart!
